Lee Smart won the Bronze Helmet defeating Grant MacDonald after Grant fell while 2nd having been passed by Lee Smart
Meeting marred by a awful crash involving Adam Wrathall who went over the highest part of the safety fence on the home straight after getting out of shape when George Piper fell in front of him on the 4th bend. It was a sickining sight and lets hope Adam is OK. He was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital but there were no further reports by the end of the evening. Sadly a racing incident with no blame attached to any rider. Adam simply picked up speed as he went towards the fence
Fingers crossed

I have had a text regarding Adam's condition in hospital, but will not post here until Oxford announce something official in due course.
I just wish Adam a full and speedy recovery and I'm sure all the traveling Weymouth supporters join with me in this as well as the riders and management.

Hope the lad makes a swift and full recovery. As Lioness says, always worse when it's a youngster.
