Questions:
Will the score be closer than last week?
Will Ollie Allen be fit?
Will superbart put the new 'anthem' on here so we can sing in the shower before coming along tonight?
Will there be many Oxford Fans coming up the M40?

Sandie,
Is there a major and expensive prize [e.g. a Coventry season ticket inclusive of return travelling expenses from Manchester, hotel accommodation and, of course, programmes] for getting all the answers correct?
No? Then I'm not playing your silly old game, so there!
Be good - be boring!!

I've heard Pepe is not riding as he was injured in Poland. Having checked sportowefakty.pl it looks like he has hurt his knee in his last heat after crashing with Freddie Lindgren (who has a broken finger).
do we have any news on Jesper B and wether or not he's riding yet? It was suggested he would not ride a month ago on a Polish site. I see he's in the Stal Gorzów line up on sportowefakty.pl live updates.
What about Ales? Is he still feeling the effects of his crash at Reading that caused him to pull out of the pairs?

Freddie Lindgren (who has a broken finger). 2 broken fingers I can't see anything but a Coventry win unfortunately

Questions: Will the score be closer than last week? No. Edit: After reading young Brown's post, below, I change the above to "definitely not". But, if they do, then it will be an outstanding performance.

Oxford side announced as
1. Henrik Moller 2. Chris Schramm .3. Ales Dryml 4. Steve Johnston 5. Pepe Protasiewicz - rider replacement 6. Freddie Eriksson 7. Eric Andersson.
Jesper and Andy Smith had agreed contracts in Poland (Smith of course was not in the Oxford side when he signed). Pepe was injured and Coventry turned down a request to reschedule the meeting (toally understandabel from their perspective)

A sad day for speedway and a sad day for home fans who have to watch this crock of crap at there track The only one due to be missing was Jesper. Andy Smith only signed fore us a couple of weeks ago and Pepe was injured in a crash in Poland yesterday. There is little you can do about a rider getting injured the day earlier. (indeed Subedei posted this yesterday to say that the reports had said he was injured after an accident with Fredrik Lindgren) I suspect that at this moment the Oxford management are more concerned about the fact that a 15 year old Oxford rider is in a bad way in hospital (which incidentally is where the Oxford promoter was last night and the owner is today). But I guess you are not aware of that one Not really sure what the options were for Oxford in fairness.

Depending on the fitness/form of Olly Allen this could be the biggest win I've ever seen. Olly is out of form but didn't look at all fit enough on Fri, but I suspect he will ride. With respect to Oxf this is a chance for him to grab some points and build a bit of confidence. With Olly I fancy the Bees to get 64/65. Without him they could get 67/68 (perhaps more) with the form the others are in. Before the Oxf fans lose too much heart bare in mind the fact that, but for bike problems, Cov should have scored 58 against a very decent looking P'brgh team last Friday evening. Fingers crossed for some more 'brass balls' rides from the Cov lads. Scott and Chris (in particular of course) were class on Fri, and Rory went from 3rd to 1st (past Lukas and Hans) before he had an engine failure. I'd like to place an order for more value for money please.

This is hard for a Robins fan to say - but I really do feel for the Oxford fans. Lambs to the slaughter comes to mind.

It may be hard to say, but certainly commendable to go on record. To be honest, any true speedway supporter must really feel for the Oxf fans at the moment.

Sorry for the double post, but it seemed better on this occasion.
From the Cov website.
CHEETAHS SEVERELY DEPLETED OXFORD have issued details of their starting line-up for tonight's Elite League clash at Brandon (8pm), which shows a number of changes from their initial declaration. Piotr Protasiewicz has sustained a knee injury and the Cheetahs will use the rider replacement facility. Meanwhile Jesper B Jensen and Andy Smith had reportedly signed contracts to ride in Poland prior to signing for Oxford, and they will therefore not be racing for the Cheetahs tonight. They are replaced by No.8 Henrik Moller and Newport's Chris Schramm. Olly Allen will have a late fitness test to see if he is fit to take his place for the Buildbase Bees. BUILDBASE BEES: Scott Nicholls, Billy Janniro, Rory Schlein, Olly Allen (subject to fitness), Chris Harris, Morten Risager, Martin Smolinski. OXFORD: Henrik Moller, Chris Schramm, Ales Dryml, Steve Johnston, r/r for Piotr Protasiewicz, Freddie Eriksson, Eric Andersson.
So Olly has not been given the all-clear to ride yet.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Coventry get 70, with just Johnno beating a Coventry rider. In fact, if Coventry don't get 70 I'd say Oxford have done pretty well!
